Simplified Jojo Plot Summary
Jojo's plotline can be best summarized as multiple ongoing plots that are intertwined. With recurring characters appearing in different parts, recurring abilities, recurring concepts, recurring villains, etc. However, all of the parts operate on their own separate storyline . It may be a little confusing to fully grasp at first glance but you should read/watch every part in order to fully appreciate Jojo's as a whole

Simple part 1 summary: Angry British boy known as Dio Brando wants the Joestar family fortune. Dio is a bad guy and he kills the main character Jonathan Joestar, or "Jojo's" dog and his father, and kisses his girlfriend without consent. He then takes a stone mask and becomes a vampire and burns his house down. Jonathan is now under the tutilage of Will A. Zeppeli, a musical reference to Led Zeppelin, a very common theme in Jojo. He also gains a friend known as Robert Edward Orville Speedwagon, refrencing the band R.E.O. Speedwagon. Zeppeli teaches Jonathan hamon, a form of fighting that uses breathing to channel the sun's energy to kill vampires. A couple chapters/episodes of killing vampires later, Jonathan finally manages to defeat Dio. Or so he thought... turns out Dio's head was still alive and while Jonathan is on his honeymoon he destroys the ship he is on and takes over Jonathan's body. Worry not though as his child is still alive with his wife. Part 2 takes place around 60 years later, following the perspective of Jonathan's grandson: Joseph Joestar.

This is Jonathan Joestar, the first Jojo. He's a buff Englishman.
This is Joseph Joestar, an incredibly sarcastic and intelligent protagonist.
This is Jotaro Kujo, he is a Japanese high school student who awakens a "stand." Part where stands are introduced. Won't go into it more as I wish to avoid spoilers but his stand's name is Star Platinum."
Another Japanese highschool student who lives in a town known as Morioh. His stand's name is Crazy Diamond.
An 15 year old Italian boy who joins the mafia to stop the drug trade, has a very strict moral code and is nothing sort of a prodigy. His stand's name is Gold Experience.
This is Jolyne, the first female Jojo. She is the daughter of Jotaro and was convicted and sent to prison. Her stand name is Stone Free.
This is Johnny Joestar, a former horse jockey turned parapeligic. His stand name is a large spoiler.
This is part 8 Josuke Higashikata, I really don't know much about him other than that he is an amnesic.
